Cloud automations: run while your computer is off

Most automations run on your computer, while Minda runs. A cloud automation runs on Minda's server instead, so it keeps going when every device you own is off.

Choose where it runs

In the editor, Runs on has two choices:

This computer: while Minda runs, in the background too. It can watch your signed-in pages.
Cloud: on Minda's server, even while this computer is off. Your sign-ins never go there.

Choose when you make it: where an automation runs can't be changed after it is saved. You need to be signed in.

What the cloud can do

Triggers in the cloud:

At a time you pick
A web address of yours is called: the address shows after you save. Whoever calls it can send data for that run.
A public page or API changes: give an https address and what to read (a JSON path such as data.price, or a phrase; empty reads all of its text), checked every 15 minutes or more.
Only when you run it

Steps in the cloud: post a notice in Minda, email me (to your account's address, up to 20 a day), send to a web address, call an API, only go on if, set a value, and ask Minda AI (up to 20 credits a run).

A cloud notice reaches Minda on your computer as a notice of its own, and the email and webhook reach you even with Minda closed.

What stays on your computer

Page, message, download and computer triggers need your computer: the cloud can't see them. The cloud never gets your signed-in pages, cookies or passwords. A web check is the server's own request, so the site sees the server, never your cookies or your IP address.

How many

Free keeps 20 cloud automations turned on at once, and Pro 50. You can save up to 50. Steps that ask Minda AI use credits like any request.

Manage them anywhere

Cloud automations show in Settings → Automations and on your account page's Automations, with Run now, Edit and an on/off switch on each row. Run now is off, with the reason in its tooltip, while a rule is turned off or runs when its web address is called.

Want to change this computer's automations from your phone? Turn on Edit on the web in Settings → Automations → Cloud. It is off by default and set per computer. Changes you make on the account page apply when Minda runs on that computer.

One honest limit

Cloud automations are stored as plain text on Minda's server, like team data, so keep secrets out of their texts. The run log keeps the last 200 runs: what ran and how it went, never the words of an event.
