Your account page and your phone
One account follows you everywhere: Minda on your computer, Minda SI for Chrome, the account page, and your phone.
The account page
Your account lives at account.mindasip.com and works in any computer or phone browser. Sign in to see your plan, credits and usage, billing, security, devices, cloud automations and downloads. On a phone, the same page is Minda: your inbox, tasks, notes, bookmarks, highlights, skills and search.
Put Minda on your phone
There is nothing in an app store. Minda runs in your phone's browser, and you can install it from there as an app. The quickest way in:
- On your computer, open Settings → Account and press Set up your phone.
- Scan the code with your phone's camera.
- Minda opens on the phone, already signed in and paired with your computer.
The code works once and runs out after a short while. No camera? Open the address shown and type the set-up code. If you use a sync passphrase, the phone asks for it once.
What the phone can do
- Tell you when your computer needs you, so you can Allow, Deny or Stop its tasks.
- Send a task: type it on the phone and your computer does it while you are away. Each task is signed on the phone and checked on the computer, so a task your paired phone did not sign never runs.
- Read and edit notes, keep bookmarks tidy, read your computer's notifications and messages, and run your cloud automations.
Notifications are encrypted by your computer for your phone.
Sync, and what it can see
Sync turns on by itself after you sign in, on every plan. It keeps bookmarks, history (the last 90 days), passwords, notes, skills, highlights and AI chats on every computer and your phone. Each item is sealed on your computer with AES-256-GCM before it leaves.
Know who holds the key. By default Minda's server holds it, wrapped with its own secret, which means the server can read what syncs. If you set your own passphrase (at least 10 characters), the server cannot, and sync is end-to-end. Never synced: open tabs, cookies, API keys, extensions and scheduled tasks.
