I keep seeing "credits". What do they pay for, and what can I do when mine are used up?
Accepted answer
Credits pay for Minda's hosted AI models, so you need no setup and no keys.
How they are used
- A standard message starts at 1 credit. Larger models cost more, and each model's price is shown before you pick it.
- Pictures, voice and video are priced by size and length.
- Failed and empty replies are never charged.
- Short everyday replies are free each day: 30 on Free and 100 on Pro.
To see where yours went, open Settings → Account → Minda AI credits → History. It lists each request by model, credits and time, never the words, for 92 days.
When you run out
- Wait for next month's credits.
- Buy a credit pack. Packs never expire.
- Use your own AI keys or Ollama. They use no credits and have no limit.
- Open Minda signed in each day. The daily check-in adds +3 credits a day, with bonuses at 7 and 30 days. Those credits count for that month only.
Community rewards add to the same monthly credits. The points announcement lists them.
