I already pay for an AI provider, and I would like to keep some chats on my own machine. Does Minda support that?

Your own keys
Add keys for OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter or Qwen in Settings → AI. Chat then goes to that provider directly, uses no Minda AI credits and has no limit from Minda. Your keys are stored encrypted by your operating system's keystore, and they are never synced.
Ollama on your computer
If you run Ollama, Minda can chat with a model on your own machine. The conversation never leaves your computer.
Keep AI on this computer
In Settings → AI → Privacy you can switch on Keep AI on this computer. Minda then refuses every cloud provider, including Minda AI, before anything is sent. Only a local model answers.
