I like the idea of an agent that clicks and types for me, but I do not want surprise purchases. What stops it?
Accepted answer
The agent acts on its own in Auto mode, but it stops for your OK before anything that pays.
- Ask before paying is on by default (Settings → AI agent → Access). A press that pays, buys, books or places an order, and card or bank details being typed, wait for your OK. A background task waits in Tasks and posts a notice.
- Careful is off by default and is a switch in the chat box's Modes menu. With it on, the agent also stops before it sends, posts, deletes, uploads, types a password or gives access.
- Leave it for my review: when your words ask for a draft or your review ("for my review", "draft", "do not submit"), a press that finishes the work waits for your OK.
- Stop ends a run at any time.
You can also allow or block specific sites, and switch whole families of tools on or off.
A log in Settings → AI agent → Activity lists each action: the tool, the site and the result. It never keeps page text or typed text.
One caution: if you turn Ask before paying off, a run can pay. Keep it on unless you have a reason.
